What is the ‘Song of Yourself’? [transcript]

We all have a special story that we tell about ourselves that communicates to the outside world, who we are, what we care about, why somebody might want to employ us. But often we’re not very good at articulating what it is. I call it the song of ourselves. How do we sing that song so it lands most sweetly?

How as we get older do we put in all the different verses of our lives, but still keep that chorus, which is the bit which is essentially us. Now for me, that song of yourself is a plat, a braid if you are American of various different aspects of our lives. Our personal life, our professional life, and the purpose that unites those two things like the golden thread.
