Noon Expert: Kati Taunt
Kati Taunt is a nationally respected trauma therapist, consultant and trainer with over 25 years of clinical experience working with children, families and adults, both within the NHS, charity settings and in private practice.
She is an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist, systemic practitioner, licensed social worker and has training in Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and Systems Centred Theory.
Kati’s areas of specialism focus on trauma: post traumatic stress disorder, developmental trauma and attachment issues. She has worked with parents and children bereaved by violence and suicide, as well as families and individuals impacted by traumatic accidents, war, illness, separation, and transitions.
Currently Kati is working nationally to help local government departments, education authorities, the NHS and other providers to implement trauma-informed practice and to address the need for traumatised young people, children and adults to feel safe in their contexts. Kati is the only person outside of the United States licence to deliver the ARC framework (www.arcframework.org) developed in Boston at the Trauma Center (now the Center for Trauma Training).
Kati also has a small private practice for individual work. Her passion is for helping people process and integrate past traumatic experiences so that they are able to fully engage with living their here and now lives.
Working with Noon, Kati will be utilising her experience of trauma and other emotional issues in order to run groups and hold spaces where women can connect, explore and process.
Kati joins us as we sit at the edge of the unknown, reminding ourselves and each other to have kindness, compassion and above all curiosity, noticing the turbulence that naturally arises here and exploring together whatever is coming next.
